Name: Buriram Raadeh “Buri”
Age: 18

Species: Human
Allegiance: Pirate- Captain of the Crimson Lotus (Or Guren), a slowly developing crew.
Home Village/Ocean: West
Appearance:
Here (Pay attention to the weapons)
History:
Buri wasn’t born on land, but on a boat in the sea. Her father led a small crew of four, her mother being one of them of course, and her mother and father had fallen in love. The result is obvious.
The girl developed a love for the sea, a sort of yearning, and always climbed atop crates to watch the water rush along the ship as they flew ahead in the water. The sea was her love, her muse, and was involved in all she did. Buri had great ambitions, wanting to become a Captain of her own crew, just like her father.
This was amusing to her parents, but these ambitions weren’t mere empty promises. When she was of age, she began training in all the skills she would need when she led a ship of her own. Navigation, weapons, authority, everything- Her parents saw the spark of determination in her eyes and realized she wasn’t kidding.
Buri worked tirelessly for weeks. Week became months, and months became years. She was starting to become skilled with her ‘swords’ of sorts, and now had many calluses and cuts to show her effort. Taking on every job available on the ship, self discipline slowly developed within her, training her to suit the conditions of this life. Hard work was demanded, no slacking, hours upon hours of labor… It became routine, days where Buri didn’t work seeming odd and foreign. When she turned 16, she made plans to leave on her own.
Lashing a few boards together with cord not far from a shore, the young Pirate was ready to begin life anew. When she set foot on the raft, her mother tossed her a box, calling it a ‘parting gift’ and that was the last she saw of her before the waves carried her to the shore.
The golden sands of the desert appeared, Buriram inwardly groaning. Here, anyone was hard pressed with survival if not well equipped, and Buri wasn’t in the best of situations at the moment. Brilliant… Nonetheless, she slowly worked her way over miles of endless rolling hills, dehydration an inevitable part of her journey. Her skin became as dark as she thought possible under the unrelenting sun, and she was forced to travel only and night and take shelter for her safety during the day.
There came a day when she finally reached a small little village, run-down, crime infested… Living at sea all of her life, she wasn’t entirely sure what to do. But first was first… her stomach ached with hunger and Buri had lost a considerable amount of weight. And she stumbled upon a contest- whoever could defeat some ‘champion’ in a challenge would be treated to a full meal and a free stay at an inn. Though three days away from that current date, a spark of hope ignited within her and she took up vigorous training again. And then she opened the parting gift from her mother for the first time. Inside was some sort of fruit, and she grabbed it, curious. It seemed sweet enough, and it didn’t look deadly. In an instant, she had devoured it, and felt a little off afterwards, but over-all satisfied.
During one training session, a swing of her sword brought up a flurry of sand. Frowning, she tried it again… And it worked. The shocking realization of what that fruit had been came to her. She embraced it quickly, training hard to improve and hone her new skills as well as her old ones. The sand moved fluently for Buri, and slowly her skills began to improve. The competition (though really quite challenging and she thinks that the champion might have knocked her a bit stupider) was conquered by Buriram, and beaming with pride, she devoured the dinner like a rabid jackal and slept the best sleep she’d had in months.
The pirate took on jobs and earned bounty, making some sort of living off of the money she earned, and then set off.
It was time to buy a ship.
(And wala~! The result of mindless scribbles for 15 minutes!)
Personality: Buri is capable of experiencing the full range of emotions, but tends to lean more towards the energetic and [somewhat] optimistic side. However she can instantly become cold and foreboding, her face reflecting nothing but utter dislike or hatred.
Basically, if you’re on her good side, you’re okay. If you’re on her bad side, leave her alone or you could end up with one less hand.
Ship: Buying one
Ship Flag: (More of a symbol, but hey)
Devil Fruit: Sand Sand Fruit
Weapons/Items: Weapons- Look at picture, le swords, but aside from that, traditional knife, a few explosives… Basics. Items vary.
